School Parties

The boys had their Valentine Parties this past Friday (yesterday). Andrew could not make it to them, so I had to be in both places at the same time. It was nuts! But so much fun. Andy's class was crazy and chaotic. They actually had activities which added to the chaos because they were all sugared up! They did a relay race where they had to pick up a heart on their nose (they used Vaseline on the tip on the nose to get them to stick) and run it back to where they started. They also did a cookie message where they used rubber stamps and red food coloring to write a message on their cookies. Oh and they played with message hearts. I wasn't there for that part so I'm not sure what the point was. *shrug*

Billy's class did nothing. It seems the Home Mom was sick or something like that. I felt so bad for the class. This is why I think there should a group of home mothers. So things like this don't happen. So all his class did was eat cuppy cakes and juice and listen to music in their groups. I was sad. But he liked it, and that's what counts.

My girls

Some times Sabryna and I will run off for a little mother daughter time (aka shopping). This particular day I had my 'other daughter'. This is Lizzy. I have babysat her since she was 2 or 3 months old. Before I started working for Walmart I had her full time. Loved it! So back to the story. Sabryna and I went out to Target and we took her with us. It was a fabulous day! That little one can shop and shop and shop!

After...

As the snow/ice melted, we were left with yucky ice. The way our apartment faces, we get very little sun. For a week after we still had a huge ice patch in front of our door. It was hard to get out the door and back in without falling on your bum! The office people kept saying they would melt it, but we got tired of hearing that and let the boys have at it. Andrew and I were both out there watching them so that they did not hurt themselves or each other. They had a blast!

In January we had a bad ice/snow storm. It canceled schools for a week, some longer and knocked power out. Some lost it for a few hours and others weeks. We were lucky and only had our flicker here and there, never actually go out for an extended period of time. There is always beauty in the face of disaster.A tree near the house.

This was the first night of snow, after almost 2 days of ice.

My crazy boy ice boarding as he called down the hill in front of the house.
